It’s almost hard to say out loud after the whirlwind summer I just had, but fall is actually here! The weather is starting to change and I have to be honest, I’m starting to feel just a hint of that somewhat dim fall vibe. You know, where the days get shorter, sun shines less and the yard starts feeling a little too bare and gloomy.
So one thing I know is that one of my first tasks for fall has to be getting some outdoor cleaning done. As an ambassador for Mean Green products, I’m lucky to have a bunch of their heavy duty products to assist. Mean Green has done wonders in my home tackling some of the toughest areas that truth be told, have probably only been touched a few times since we moved into our home. Like, I could barely remember the color of the top of our refrigerator before Mean Green got a hold of it. Their Super Strength Cleaner and Degreaser is truly one of the best at cutting grease and eliminating grime from most surfaces. Plus, it’s tough enough to tackle some of the necessary fall outdoor tasks such as cleaning your grill, refreshing patio furniture, refreshing the deck, and more!
Moral of the story…your front porch doesn’t have to be a barren place after all your spring and summer flowers have died. Fall can be just as beautiful as spring or summer. Here are some really simple ways to brighten your front porch for fall.
1. Add Fresh Flowers to Your Porch
Mums are one of the best options for adding great pops of color to your front porch. You can get potted mums at most stores during the fall season. Just place these on your front steps for a welcoming touch of color.
2. Use Decorative Throw Pillows in Fall Colors
If you have a seating area on your front porch, add outdoor pillows in red, orange, yellow, or brown. Just choose a color that will work with the furniture you have.
3. Place Evergreen Plants Near the Door
You can purchase really pretty planters and use them for small evergreen trees. Place one on either site of your front door. This creates an elegant look for your home.
4. Hang a Decorative Flag
There are so many pretty flags you can hang from your porch. Choose a fall themed flag that matches your personality.
5. Hang a Wreath
Last, but not least, hang a wreath from your front door. You can make your own wreath as I didwith burlap, ribbon, and other supplies. Or, you can buy a wreath. Either way, this makes your front door look gorgeous.
