I have to admit, I’m not the biggest football fan in my house, but I do love a good Game Day Party! Lots of fun, great friends, and of course, lots of good food! While I have my staple dishes I make for our Game Day parties, this year, I’m excited to introduce some delicious Barbecue Beef and/or Chicken Sliders with a Ranch Slaw. I really couldn’t make up my mind, so I’m going to serve both!
Preparation for this recipe is honestly the only lengthy part, and that’s just because I’m using my crockpot for some slow cooker beef and chicken. You’ll want to slow cook your meats for about 6-8 hours for that rich, hearty taste, but then there’s a really easy coleslaw recipe I’ll also share with you guys to finish off the sliders and you’re ready to go!
For the slaw, I used the all new Naturally Fresh® Lite Ranch Dressing. Naturally Fresh® is a line of high-quality, home-made tasting salad dressings and dips which make for a fresh, delicious flavor to complement any dish. They are free of MSG and have no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives – so they’re also a guilt-free option when looking for better choices for your family.
Here’s the full recipe for these delicious Barbecue Beef and Chicken Sliders with Ranch Slaw:

- 3 pounds beef chuck roast or 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 18- oz bottle of barbecue sauce
- 1 bag 14oz coleslaw mix
- ⅓ cup Naturally Fresh® ranch dressing Lite or Classic
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp lemon juice
- 16 slider size buns
-
Place roast or chicken into slow cooker. Season to taste.
-
Sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder.
-
Pour barbecue sauce over meat.
-
Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours.
-
Remove meat from slow cooker, shred, and return to slow cooker.
-
Cook for 1 more hour.
-
For the Ranch Slaw - In a small bowl, combine the Naturally Fresh® ranch dressing, mayonnaise, sugar, and lemon juice.
-
Add this mixture to the coleslaw and toss to coat.
Serve each roll topped with the shredded beef or chicken mixture and a few spoonfuls of the slaw.
Enjoy!
