I spent a lot more time in these and the pregnancy forums during my first pregnancy and found these to be pretty helpful…However, there’s one thing that would get me every time – those crazy abbreviations and acronyms that I had no idea what they meant. I’d be like, “What does DD mean? DS? SIL? IYKWIM…yes, it’s a thing! Let me help you decode some of these strange pregnancy and parenting forum acronyms!

Here’s a running list of what these popular abbreviations and acronyms actually stand for. Some of these are actually pretty funny and will make you wonder, “Who actually talks like this?” Nonetheless…
