The perfect recipe for seamless holiday entertaining @BestBuy @LGUS

If you’re anything like my family, you live for any opportunity to entertain.  My mom (the empty nester) still gets to pull off big, huge parties for any occasion, while I prefer to stick to smaller, intimate groups of close friends and family and go all out for holiday entertaining.  Either way you like to entertain, the fact remains that it all starts in the heart of any home – the kitchen.

LG Studio Best Buy - perfect for holiday entertaining

A few weeks ago, I attended the Type-A Parent Conference here in Atlanta and spent quite a bit of time lounging in the Best Buy suite.  This was the place to be due to its cozy setup replicating a beautiful kitchen space, along with some top notch chefs performing cooking demos and offering samples.  This was also where I was introduced to the new LG Studio Line at Best Buy.  It’s a stylish addition to any kitchen thanks to it’s pro-style, integrated design and sophisticated and timeless Innovation.

It comes to no surprise that the LG Studio Line was inspired by only one of the most innovative modern designers to grace this Earth – Nate Berkus.  Every LG Studio appliance is crafted from the highest-quality, premium materials and meticulously designed to incorporate thoughtful, innovative features for a kitchen that’s distinctly your own.

See some of Nate’s tips for creating your forever kitchen:

Needless to say, this is definitely going on my list to Santa this year!  As you can imagine, a big part of holiday entertaining is seamlessly preparing delectable and flawless meals for your guests. Besides the sheer aesthetics, its cutting-edge appliance technology blended with energy savings

capabilities delivery state-of-the-art functionality that goes far beyond just delivering your everyday needs.

Speaking of delectable meals, I mentioned that I had the chance to sit in on some awesome cooking demos. Virginia Willis was one of my favorites stirring up some delicious southern cooking made with wholesome and healthy ingredients.  One recipe she shared with us in the LG Studio Suite was for Barbecue Meatballs.  It was so delicious, we kept going back for more!   Here’s the recipe below:

Barbecue Meatballs
Servings: 8
Author: Virginia Willis
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet onion
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 1 clove garlic very finely chopped
  • Coarse kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1½ cups homemade or best-quality BBQ Sauce
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Set an ovenproof rack on a rimmed baking sheet. Spray with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. Place
the onions in a ramekin or microwave-safe bowl and microwave
on medium power until soft and translucent, about 25 seconds. Set aside to cool slightly. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the turkey, onion, quinoa, parsley, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine with a rubber spatula. (To taste and adjust for seasoning, simply cook a teaspoon or so of the mixture in the microwave.)
  2. To form the meatballs, using a 1-ounce ice cream scoop or a tablespoon measure, scoop out the meat mixture and roll into a ball about the size of a walnut. Place onto the prepared rack. Repeat until all the meat mixture is used up. Transfer to the oven and cook until firm and the temperature reads 165°F on an instant-read thermometer, about 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. (These can be made ahead up to this point and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.)
  3. Using a spatula, transfer the meatballs to a medium ovenproof baking dish. Pour over the barbecue sauce and shake the pan a bit to roll and coat the meatballs in the sauce.
  4. Serve immediately or return to the oven and cook until the sauce is bubbly, about 10 minutes. Serve with toothpicks or skewers.

There are so many small appliances that I would love to have for my kitchen. I honestly didn’t know that BestBuy had much of a variety in kitchenware.

I kid you not Brianna, they were soooo good! We almost cried when they were all gone! And the kitchen really is fabulous! It made coming home to my kitchen pretty difficult.
