Simple Sugar Cookie Recipe


  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1 egg


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (if using a non-stick cookie sheet. Heat to 375°F if not).
  2. In medium bowl, mix cookie mix and 1 tbsp flour.
  3. Add softened butter and egg and stir until soft dough forms.
  4. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutter.
  5. On ungreased cookie sheets, place cutouts 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool at least 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
