10 minute Cinnamon Churro Recipe

  • 9 cups Rice Chex Cereal
  • 1 cup cinnamon chips found in baking aisle
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting


  1. Place Chex cereal in a large bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sugars and cinnamon.
  3. In another small bowl, microwave cinnamon chips and butter in 30 second intervals until smooth. Drizzle mix over cereal and stir well to coat evenly.
  4. Place coated Chex cereal in a gallon zip-close bag, add the sugar and cinnamon mix, and seal Ziploc bag tightly. Gently shake the Ziploc bag so that the cinnamon sugar coats the Chex cereal well.
  5. Spread the Chex cereal out on wax paper and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  6. Prior to serving, heat up the chocolate frosting in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. Drizzle over the Cinnamon Churros along with any remaining sugar & cinnamon mix and serve.
  7. Store leftovers in a large Ziploc container.
