Atlanta celebrates National Ice Cream Month with Mayfield Creamery

Even before “National Ice Cream Month” was a thing, summer months were always all about family, celebrations, outdoor fun, and our favorite summertime treat – ice cream! Mayfield Partners with the Atlanta Braves

I was really excited to learn that Mayfield Creamery ice cream recently became the official ice cream of the Atlanta Braves! Next time you are at a Braves game, you and your family can enjoy these delicious ice cream flavors and frozen novelties are available at six standalone Mayfield Creamery Kiosks and throughout SunTrust Park. Pro Tip: While you won’t want to miss their Signature Vanilla and Cookies and Cream flavor, fans can also look forward to a rotation of flavors of the month.

Mayfield Partners with Brezza Cucina

Mayfield Creamery is partnering with influential chefs and hot spots in the South to create southern dessert recipes made with Mayfield ice cream. Most recently, they’ve partnered with James Beard Award winner chef and Top Chef contestant, Chef Jonathan Waxman, who now leads the kitchen at Brezza Cucina.

Brezza Cucina is a cute, quaint Italian pizzeria on the far end of Ponce City Market, right next to the Williams Sonoma. I’d never been there before the other day, but it won’t be my last time for sure!

Small confession – I led with dessert for this particular meal. I had the biggest sweet tooth when I arrived and knew I’d be trying out at least one of the 3 delicious Mayfield desserts created by Waxman. Then I had a hard time choosing between the Smoky Mountain Fudge Swirl and Summery Berry Fontana. But ultimately, I decided on the Fudge Swirl while I dined in and ordered the Margherita Pizza to go…a decision I did not regret one bit. It was seriously the best dessert I’ve had in a long time – the perfect mix of sweet and crunch and I probably finished the entire thing in less than 5 minutes. I have to give a shout out to my server “The Real” Will Smith for not judging me while I completely indulged in my dessert and came up for air just long enough to snap a photo.
