Not trying to brag or anything here but I’m one of those 10% that remember to buy batteries with any gift that may need it. My kids have started thinking me for doing this because they’ve heard from their friends at school how their parents keep forgetting s a greatest mom award anyone :))?
Oh, Christmas day, with those crazy footsteps going down the stairs only to find that dear mommy has forgot to also buy those darn batteries for our newly acquired toys! Those sad, puppy eyes staring into your soul as you think of stores that are still open… priceless.

90% of us forget to buy batteries! WOW! That’s huge! Why aren’t we adding this to a list so we don’t forget?! I don’t get it. I mean, I guess this can happen once or twice but after that you’d think we would take steps to ensure we don’t mess it up again :).

#mykingdomforsomebatteries sounds about right. And I’m actually making to-do lists all the time but I always seem to forget adding these in for some reason. Maybe next year and I’d better deliver this time; the little ones are getting their pitchforks ready ;).
I like Energizer batteries because they always seem to have plenty of juice in them and the price is fair (if you consider how much a battery lasts). Duracell batteries are nice but, from my experience, they don’t last as long. Thanks for the post!
I had no clue that Energizer batteries can hold power for up to 10 years while in storage! That is quite impressive! And yes, yes, yes, I too have forgotten to get batteries for Christmas gifts a LOT of times!
Thanks for reminding me to put this down on paper for next year! This Christmas I’ve got my kids some great battery-powered cars only to realize we hadn’t any batteries for them! It was a complete fail and I hope I won’t make the same mistake again.
