Like it’s a lot of work or something? haha)
Nonetheless, with these 10 mind-blowing natural beauty hacks, you can count on some great results and even possibly commercial-worthy hair and skin using ingredients you may already have around the house or can purchase cheaply. Everything from replenishing honey masks to organic teeth whiteners to many more really cool beauty hacks! Take a look at this list and let me know what you think!
Dry Brushing
Dry brushing is not only great for replenishing your skin and riding of dead skin cells to give your skin a nice new glow, but it also pulls out toxins from your body. It is crucial you get a good body brush for this, which you can find pretty easily on Amazon. You should try and dry brush at least three times a week, it is best to do it in the morning just before you take a shower because it opens your pores and allows a thorough wash.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is one of the most amazing oils out there, you can ask anyone. It is used for so many things. Most of all, though, it is amazing for riding of unwanted blemishes. The oil contains antibacterial properties that will not only kill acne causing bacteria but it smells great too! Use a cotton ball to rub it over the infected areas, you will start seeing results almost immediately.
Nail Mask
Many people haven’t heard of this yet, that’s because it is a newer trend, but it is amazing for your nail’s strength. Especially if you get your nails done often, they must be suffering from all the harsh chemicals of the polish and polish remover. Mix together 1 egg yolk, 1 teaspoon honey, and 1 tablespoon water (you can also add a drop of essential oil for smell). Slather the mixture on your nails for 10 minutes then wash with warm water. The egg yolk provides strengthening protein for your nails and the honey helps has anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties.
Honey Mask
This is such a simple and effective face mask. Take some raw, organic honey and rub a thin layer all over your face. Leave it on for about 10 minutes then wash with warm water. Again, honey has natural anti-inflammatory properties that will help with any puffy circles under your eyes and it also a natural anti-bacterial which helps kill acne. It will also help heal scars and replenish any dead skin cells, leaving your skin soft and glowing.
Oranges
Oranges are delicious and healthy for us but also healthy for our skin. If you have any dry or rough patches of skin on your body, have no fear. Simply cut an orange in half and rub it on the area, the oranges citric acid helps smooth the rough skin and it also smells good. Rinse off with warm water when you are done rubbing because it gets pretty sticky.
Under Eye Circles
Many people tend to have this problem and they hate it. It is quite easy to get rid of them, though, with parsley. Make an under eye mask by chopping up a handful of parsley then grinding them to release the juices. Pour in a tablespoon of hot water and mix well, when the hot water is cooled take two cotton balls, soak then in the mixture and set them under your eyes lay down and let the mixture soak in your under eyes for about 10 minutes.
Teeth Whitening
A very simple and effective way to get your teeth shiny and white like everyone wants their teeth to be. Take and sprinkle some baking soda onto your toothbrush and brush thoroughly. Do this at least once a week to keep the results and keep your teeth looking nice and smile ready.
Steaming
Taking a hot shower or going to a sauna or even just sitting in the bathroom with the hot water running (a sort of makeshift sauna, if you don’t have the time or money) is great for your skin. It is also great to do this before you put any masks on your face or do any exfoliation because the heat opens up your pores and allows whatever mask or wash you are using to clean more effectively.
Hair Mask
Hair masks are AWESOME! It is a revival for your hair and no matter what mask you do your hair will come out looking commercial quality. The best natural hair mask there is though is bananas and honey. This mask helps dry and damaged hair the best, just mash up a banana (or two if you have a lot of hair) mix in about 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey. Put this mixture into your hair and rub it in evenly, wash out with warm water after 20 minutes and viola! Your hair will feel brand new.
Beer Rinse for Natural or Curly Hair
A beer rinse can do wonders to restore heat-damaged hair and replenish curls. Much of what I’ve seen online calls for using a non-alcoholic beer such as O’Doul’s, but my sis-in-law first suggested this to me with some good ole fashioned Guinness Beer and it worked just fine. The way it works is you add the beer to your clean hair (post-shampooing) to saturate the hair and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then, just rinse it out and continue with your usual conditioner if you wish, or you can simply leave off the conditioner.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is used for SO MANY things these days because it is just that great. I bet you never knew it helps with hair growth, though. Take and put half apple cider vinegar, half water into a spray bottle. Spray this mixture into your hair every night after a shower or in the morning at least 30 minutes before a shower it will help with the health of your hair along with promoting growth.
