One thing we are most looking forward to this Christmas is our annual Adams Family Christmas Eve Party. This is a longstanding tradition of my in-laws’ family where the entire family gets together to reflect and share our memories and things we are most thankful for in the past year. It’s a really big deal and there’s a program involved with it all. They are a very big family, with my mother in law being the youngest of 11 kids, so each sibling and their “clan” takes turns each year hosting the actual program. This year is our turn and we’re planning on putting together a Christmas play representing the first Christmas. The girls are super excited and I’m just waiting for the comedy of watching them try to remember their lines, but that’s all the fun of it. The miracle it all so far has been watching them team up to set up their scenes and think about who plays what. They’ve even agreed on how to get one of their dolls to play baby Jesus in the manger. I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
Nonetheless, it’s an event filled with lots of fun, smiles and of course…pictures. Being photo ready is sort of a requirement and we are ready for it! We took a trip to our local OshKosh Bgosh and found a ton of adorable outfits for the two of them. What’s great is that even though their individual styles are very different, they could each find styles they love that represent their individual personalities.
