Clary Sage Oil Benefits for Your Skin

06/06/18 | Green Living & Holistic Health

Clary sage oil benefits for the skin are numerous. This is a very versatile essential oil that has many healing and health properties. Here are just some of the many clary sage oil benefits for your skin.

Are you suffering from skin allergies? Or you just want to make your skin even more beautiful? Clary Sage Oil is perfect for you and your skin. Read more about the surprising clary sage oil benefits for your skin.

Clary Sage Oil Benefits For Your Skin

Natural Astringent

If you suffer from acne or oily skin, being a natural astringent is among the many clary sage oil benefits for your skin. This means that it helps to keep pores unclogged and even cleans them out. It also helps restore the natural balance of sebum, which is great for your skin. The clary sage oil can be applied daily when diluted. Blend with a carrier oil by placing 2 ounces of the carrier oil in a glass jar. Then, put several drops of the oil in and stir evenly. Rub a small amount on the affected area twice daily, using a circular motion.

Reduces Inflammation

When mixed with a carrier oil, clary sage can be a great oil for helping to calm irritated skin. This is because it contains properties said to reduce inflammation and swelling. A bonus is that it also may aid in pain relief, as well as provide a soothing and calming effect. Simply add a few drops to an ounce of carrier oil and massage into the affected area up to three times daily as needed.

Helps Heal Rashes

Rashes and eczema have a lot to gain from clary sage oil benefits. The moisturizing properties help heal dry patches, but as mentioned above this amazing oil also helps reduce inflammation and relieve pain. This is necessary when fighting rashes. The natural astringent properties also may help normalize the skin and heal the rash more quickly than some other methods. This can be applied in the same way as you would for general inflammation treatment.

Helps Heal Infections & Skin Conditions

This is a great essential oil to use when fighting skin infections because of its anti inflammatory and astringent properties. However, clary sage oil also has antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Therefore, if a rash, infection, or skin condition is bacterial in nature, this may be a good healer in combination with another infection healing oil, such as tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is antibacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial, antiviral, as well as antifungal. Therefore, when mixed with tea tree oil, clary sage oil becomes even more effective. Remember to mix them with a carrier oil first. Again, blend a few drops of each essential oil in with an ounce of carrier oil and massage into the affected area a few times daily.

This is one of my favorite oils! It is so diverse and I feel it doesn’t get the attention it deserves. It truly is great for inflammation and rashes, my go-to oil!
