Easter muddy buddies snack recipe

Here is a really simple Springtime or Easter Muddy Buddies Recipe. It’s great for a yummy little snack to share, or even as a sweet Easter Basket stuffer.  I also came across this adorable Easter Basket Style Candy Dish, which you can use to serve them in and  make your home look even more festive around the holiday.

Here is the recipe for the Easter Muddy Buddies:

Print
Easter Muddy Buddies
Ingredients
  • 3 C Chex cereal
  • 1 C Ghiradelli white chocolate wafers
  • 1/4 C unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 C + powdered sugar
  • 1 C Easter M&M candy
  • 1 C pastel mini marshmallows
Instructions
  1. Prep a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Using a large measuring cup pour 3 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl.
  3. Pour the white chocolate wafers into the top of a double boiler. Melt chocolate and stirring often.
  4. Slowly pour the warm melted chocolate over the Chex cereal.
  5. Using a wooden spoon, begin to gently mix the chocolate and the cereal.
  6. Make sure that all of the cereal is well coated with chocolate.
  7. Scoop the coated cereal into a large plastic bag.
  8. Add in the powdered sugar. With your hands, seal the bag closed and begin to shake the two together.
  9. Make sure that all of the pieces of chocolate coated cereal are now covered with powdered sugar.
  10. Gently pour the cereal onto the lined cookie sheet.
  11. Set aside to cool.
  12. Place the cereal back into a large bowl.
  13. Measure out the M&M candy and pastel mini marshmallows to the mix.
  14. Store in a ziploc bag or lidded container.
