Whether you’re going to grandmas house, a nearby staycation, or a family trip to Disney World, packing for spring break with kids is no small task. Of course you want to be amply prepared, but that can easily turn into 5 bags a piece – Trust me, know that experience all too well!
For our next Spring Break vacation, I was able to find just about all of our packing essentials at my nearest Osh Kosh B’Gosh store. I grew up wearing and loving Osh Kosh clothes and I love that it’s still the same fun and authentic All American styled clothes, only refreshed with optimistic colors, hand-drawn graphics and still just as timeless as ever. They’re easy, relatable clothes that let kids just have fun being kids. I went crazy shopping for my girls, but of course, Osh Kosh B’Gosh clothes are available for boys and girls sizes 0-12.
No matter where you are spending your spring break with kids, the packing essentials you’ll need will most likely fall into one of these 3 categories:
Picture perfect

Especially if your Spring Break kicks off with the Easter holiday, you’ll want to be prepared for all of those picture perfect moments to capture great memories of your Spring Break vacation. In our case, we’ll likely be attending a few Easter parties and egg hunts, so I wanted to find some pretty, yet comfortable and age-appropriate dresses for my girls. I brought them with me shopping and while they wanted to buy up the whole store, these were to 2 dresses they decided on. I just love the bright and fun floral designs and the easy lightweight flow of these dresses…and my girls did too!
Don’t worry, girls aren’t the only ones who get these picture perfect looks from Osh Kosh. If you have boys, they can be handsome as ever in bow ties, suspenders and blazers.
Fun in the sun

Of course! This is what Spring Break is all about – time at the park, beach, or some other sunny destination. You’ll want to make sure you have enough shorts, tees, swimsuits, sandals, sunscreen, etc. (full packing list below). I scored a bunch of easy mix and match shorts and tops at my local Osh Kosh store at ridiculously affordable prices. I loved the reflective shirts and they really come in handy if you’re planning a trip to an amusement park where you’re likely to be out past dark. The roll-cuff shorts were also super durable and stylish.
Osh Kosh has also got you covered with a big selection of UPF 50+ suits, also in the bold prints and tons of cool shades!

Since Spring Break weather can be a little unpredictable, longer sleeves, light sweaters and pants are a must. We found a big selection of traditional blue jeans, but instead, got a little more fun with it. The bold and bright colored jeans and were such a refreshing addition to the mix and the graphic 3 quarter-sleeved shirts were perfect. I paired my oldest’s outfit with a super soft tulle skirt she loved to twirl around and about in (pictured at top of page).
You can tell by the pictures, my girls had a great time with the hats as well. These can be worn as sun blockers during the day, or also as fun accessories as the weather starts to cool.
So, from your Easter gear, to beach wear, to just your every day cool, Osh Kosh has got you covered from head to toe (yes, did I mention their sandal collection?). Full List of Packing Essentials for Spring Break with Kids
What are your packing essentials for Spring Break with Kids?

I normally bring an extra for the extras! LOL. You can never be too sure, kids encounter lots of little accidents throughout the day what more when they’re having fun outside. Spills and more!
I always make a list when I pack. Prepared is the only way to go. It is one thing to go shopping on vacation because you feel like it, its a whole other thing to have to find a store. Adorable children.
Thanks!
Your kids look had fun! Packing essentials is great before spring break-up is came.
I do this a lot to ensure I never forget anything my son needs. It is a must for every parent because to just have it in your head is a recipe for disaster.
I agree adding transitional items is a great way to be prepared for any season and love all the bright colours. They all look fab.
My list depends on where I am going. This year it’s DC 🙂
Great activities for my kids, I always make a list. Thank you for sharing!
i let my kids enjoy the beauty of nature and have fun in a moderate sun.
Packing to go out for the day is bad enough let alone a whole break. If we didn’t write a list I know we would foreget more then we pack.
Love this list is perfect for me and it really sums up the essentials your are going to need
Oh yeah the weather in spring break is unpredictable, so just when you think it’s warm, that’s when all of sudden gets cold as well 😉 It’s always smart to bring extra sweaters and pants.. Great pictures of the kids, btw 😉
We only have wet and dry seasons in our country. Your list is useful for both seasons though, thanks.
It’s good to have a list so you don’t forget anything. I am glad you put that sunscreen on there. 🙂
oh, I love their outfit! I can’t believe that it’s almost spring break. Awesome tips!
I love their clothing. I think they tend to have more unique styles than other brands. I just remember my boys in OshKosh and them being some of my favorite clothes for them.
Cute pictures! these are definitely the essentials. You never know what kind of weather you’ll run into.
What a great packing essential guide. I love those photos. Very cute outfits.
What a great packing list! It will make travel so much easier not having to predict what to pack.
I cant go anywhere without my pajamas hahaha! Just love them
Omg I’m notorious for over packing for my daughter! I know the time I don’t, that will be the trip I need that extra whatever lol. So better safe than sorry!
I’m going to have to print this out when I take the grand kids to church camp this summer. They want to pack their own thigs and under pack.
This is a really handy and well-thought-out list. It can always be so difficult to figure out what and how much of anything you should pack for kids. Sometimes I think it might be easier to just pack their whole dresser and prepare for the worst.
Trust me! I sometimes want to do that too – throw all of their clothes with the hangers and the dressers too! 5 suitcases later though, I reconsider. lol
