Our Perfect Spa Birthday Party at Dazzling Diva Day Spa

For any of my newer readers out there, let me just fill you in on an annual occasion we celebrate in my family called “Birthday Week.” See, back when I started this blog, I learned that my daughters both shared the same exact due date in February.  Of course, I knew it was a slim chance that would actually happen, though it was a safe bet that they would be born within a few days of each other.

I was devastated at the thought that they might hate sharing this time, so I decided that we would celebrate what we’d call “Birthday Week” and make that a time it’s all about the kids with fun activities planned for them multiple times throughout the week, including the circus, Valentine’s Day celebrations and more. It turned out that my 2 girls came 10 days apart, so Birthday Week is actually Birthday Week and a half. Lucky them right?

Anyway, as I’ve managed to get away with joint birthday parties for the past 4 years, they’ve now reached a point where they insist on having separate parties. While I totally understood why, let’s face it, it sounds like just extra work for me planning 2 different parties within just over a week. 

Luckily, this year, I discovered a kids spa nearby called Dazzling Diva Day Spa in Marietta, GA. Just like the name suggests, it’s a spa designed just for the little princesses in our lives. They offer numerous spa party packages for kids, including mani/pedis, mini facials, glitzy makeup, and more. Additionally, as an add-on to some of the packages, the kids can also do a fun fashion show and pizza party for guests. Best of all, they take care of all of the work of making the party extra special, so parents really don’t have to do much!

As Sam just turned 5 this year *insert tears*, we had the opportunity to celebrate her birthday at Dazzling Diva Day Spa. I made the mistake of telling her that she was having a spa party about a month in advance and I kid you not, she asked me every single day for a full 31 days, “Are we going to the spa tomorrow?”  On top of that, I got approached by her friends at school almost every day during drop off asking, “Sam’s mom, are we going to the spa tomorrow?” True story. 

The day finally came this past weekend and Dazzling Diva Day Spa did not disappoint! The multiple party hosts were extremely engaging with the girls, so they felt completely at ease following them into the spa areas to get their services done.  Meanwhile, parents got to relax in the lounge area sans kids for the next hour and a half.

The girls got to get totally glammed up in an actual spa setting, much like what they see us experience on a trip to the nail salon.

From the nails, they moved on to the mini-facials using all natural ingredients.  In fact, I couldn’t tell which the girls loved more – the actual facial or being able to eat the ingredients from the facials afterwards.  I take that back, they loved eating it a little more.  🙂

Next, they got to get totally glamorous with the makeup.  Can you tell how much she enjoyed that part?

Once the girls were all made up, they all came to join us in the lounge area. There, the party hosts led them in a little dance party and a game of Musical Chairs, where they were eligible for additional prizes.   They were then escorted to the party room for pizza, popcorn and cupcakes.  Dazzling Diva Day Spa provided the pizza, popcorn, drinks, and all of the decor for the room as part of their Pizza Party Package.  I was only responsible for bringing the cupcakes.
