Behind the Scenes at the Thor: Ragnarok Red Carpet Premiere

If I’ve learned one thing over the past year or so that I’ve been fortunate enough to attend a Disney Red Carpet event, it’s that each and every experience is completely unique and there’s never any mistaking the overall theme of the movie being premiered.  

Last year, I attended the red carpet world premiere of Pete’s Dragon, where the red carpet was replaced by a green one and Queen of Katwe, where the African influence permeated through the carpet from the outfits to the dance routines.

Just this past week, I had the chance to attend the premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel film, Thor: Ragnarok (which opens in theaters 11/3)  and had just as thrilling and unique an experience as any.  Being such a huge film, of course, security was beefed up quite a bit so, for example, our phones had to be locked during the premiere, however, there was still lots of fun to be had.  We got to watch as stars walked the red carpet and showed off their red carpet ready outfits and by the end of the carpet, we were surprised by a very cool replica of the village of Sakaar where we took pics with the live guards amidst an awesome backdrop.  

At the start of the film, each of the stars were introduced and took the stage in front of a hugely energetic audience.  And what a joy it was to watch the film with many of them who were also seeing it for the first time. Each appearance brought about an applause and we all got to laugh and feel the excitement together.
